Bicknacre is a small CM3 village between Danbury and South Woodham Ferrers, set in open Essex farmland. Mostly cottages, 1960s detached homes and a scattering of modern plots, with the old Bicknacre Priory ruins to the south. Exposed rural location means roof tiles and conservatory glass collect heavy lichen and bird mess through winter.
Most Bicknacre regulars book everything together once a year — low pressure clean roof, conservatory roof, gutters cleared, windows. We drive through Danbury and SWF anyway so there's no real travel charge to add. 10 miles south-east of our Chelmsford base.

Nearby areas we cover
Yes — Bicknacre is on the same loop as Danbury, Woodham Walter and South Woodham Ferrers, so we're driving past anyway. No travel charge.
Lichen is heavy on exposed rural Essex properties — very normal round here. Low pressure clean with a biocide on the roof tiles kills it on contact; for conservatory glass and roof panels we use a gentler detergent rinse that won't damage the seals. We don't pressure-wash either — that creates worse problems than it solves.
Most new Bicknacre bookings are on site inside a week. Urgent jobs (storm damage, gutter overflow, roof leak) we'll usually slot in same week.
No. As long as we can get round the back, we crack on and send before/after photos through when we leave. Most Bicknacre customers pay by bank transfer after the job's done.
Form, phone or WhatsApp — whichever's easier. We'll reply the same day, usually inside the hour.

On the day we agreed, in uniform, with everything we need. You don't have to be home if you'd rather not be.
We walk it together at the end, or send photos if you're out. Anything not right, we sort it before we go.
